DIS recognizes outgoing VIP executive committee

The outgoing Executive Committee of the Volunteer Involved Parents (VIP) of DIS for the school year 2017-18 was recognized by the administration, teachers, and parents last May 25, 2018. The ceremony was held at the new auditorium located at the basement of the new building. Sr. Leticia Delfin, OP, Prefect of Discipline for girls led the invocation. It succeeded with the welcome remarks by the Directress / Principal, Sr. Ma. Zenaida T. Ancheta, OP. Each member was given a certificate of recognition and a token of appreciation for their untiring contribution and constant support.

“We appreciate the contribution of the outgoing members of the VIP, for they extended their service to the school and to the students most especially to their children,” Sr. Zenaida said.

“We should always look back to the people who worked hard before us for they have contributed a lot on what we have now“, added Sr. Zenaida.

“It was very fruitful working with the administration, teachers, and staff. It was a successful and rewarding year for all members of the DIS community,” said Ms. Yvonne Hsu, the outgoing chair during her farewell speech.

A turn over ceremony ensued with the new VIP Executive Committee Chair for school year 2018-19 Ms. Ellen Chu accepting the challenges ahead.

She said “We will work together with the DIS community especially with the sports and academic activities just inform us ahead of time so that we will have time to prepare and make it a successful one”.

The emcee was Ms. Agosh Librea, the VIP moderator. Vice Principal, Sr. Ma. Socorro Teofilo, OP also witnessed the event.

The event ended with a simple refreshment at the cafeteria.
