April 2024
It is not how much we give, but how much love we put into giving
Mother Teresa
The members of NJHS would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the people who donated food items. Your generosity is truly inspiring, and your donation will not only provide nourishment but also hope and support to underprivileged children in Taiwan. Once again, thank you from the bottom of our hearts for your generosity and compassion.
NJHS DIS Taipei Chapter
From April 15 to April 19, 2024, the National Junior Honor Society, or NJHS, partnered up with Taiwanese charity, World Peace to gather food to help the underprivileged. Throughout the week, we were able to collect food items such as noodles, cereals, milk powder, and cooking kits. With the help of enthusiastic and kind-hearted Dominicans, we were able to collect large boxes and bags worth of food that will be sent to underprivileged children in Taiwan.
On behalf of the NJHS, we greatly appreciate the efforts made by parents, staff, teachers, and students. We want to thank the people who came prepared and donated bags full of food, the people who donated small crackers from their backpacks, and the people who didn’t have any food to donate but still took their time to stop by and cheer us on.
With the small amounts of effort and donations from many individuals resulting in an overwhelming outcome, the NJHS is proud to announce the 2024 NJHS Food Drive as a success.
