Last August 5, 2024, the Sisters, Faculty and Staff of DIS had their routine physical examination. A physical exam is an evaluation of one’s overall health. This exam focuses on preventive care so you can get to good health or maintain it. A physical exam aims to make recommendations about how you can reach or maintain good health, address any symptoms you experience, and look for any underlying conditions.
The Chi Hsin Clinic performed the physical examination. Founded in 1987, “Chi Hsin” is a professional health examination agency and Professional Medical Health Promotion Center that provides professional health examination, medical health promotion, and overall diet and exercise planning. It promotes people’s high-quality healthy life with comprehensive medical health promotion. Its clinic is situated along Jianguo North Rd., Zhongshan District, Taipei City. The said clinic won the health examination quality certification from the “Incorporated Hospital Evaluation and Medical Quality Promotion Association”. Supervising the doctor and nurses from the clinic was Ms. Vivian Shih.
The series of check-ups were administered in the DIS gymnasium from 8:00 am to 10:00 am with a mobile X-ray machine provided, parked outside. A signup sheet was provided by the school nurses, Ms. Cheryl Yang and Ms. Betty Hung a few days before the examination to ensure a smooth flow. They helped organize the examination with Ms. Vivian Shih. The following health check items were considered:
This standard health procedure complies with the “Occupational Health and Safety Act” of Taiwan. This Act is enacted to protect workers’ safety and health and to prevent occupational accidents.
